Kingfield Electronics has developed a succession planning model by promoting staff from within the organisation to more senior positions. Sara Davis has been promoted to Business Development Coordinator after three years at the company which has seen her move up the ranks via a number of account management roles. Sara is a product of the Kingfield internal training programme launched in 2006 which has seen a number of staff at Kingfield move into challenging roles.
Sara comments, “I’ve always had contact with customers in all my roles to date so moving over to business development seems a logical step. I really enjoy working for Kingfield Electronics and now have the exciting role of executing the company’s sales and marketing strategy which has so far seen the company grow by over 20 % in the 2007/2008 financial year. Working with clients from the very first meeting to the point where they become Kingfield customers really gives me a buzz. I enjoy being involved every step of the way”.
Other graduates of the training programme have moved into purchasing, senior technician and operational management roles.
