>Kingfield acquires new facility to support growth plansFriday, 22nd March 2013 posted by Kim Munro
Kingfield Electronics is pleased to announce the acquisition of new business premises on the Chesterfield Trading Estate, Sheepbridge, Chesterfield. Conveniently located in close proximity to its existing premises, the new facility provides 40,000ft2 of additional space to support the on-going growth, and evolving demands of its existing customer base, and the contract electronics manufacturing marketplace in general.
Nick Taylor, Managing Director states, “During the last 24-months we have added both a number of new customers and activities into the business. The new facility will provide significant opportunities for expansion and will allow us to combine related processes promoting smoother material and process flows throughout the operation. This can only lead to significant benefits for our customers. We have been planning this move for two years and will transition the business to its new location in a gradual and carefully considered manner throughout the remainder of 2013 and early 2014.
I am extremely excited that we have been able to complete the purchase of this facility. The close physical proximity of the new facility means that the impact to our employees will be minimal. Once the initial move has been completed, the new facility also provides the opportunity for additional investment in new equipment and infrastructure to take place, and this again provides great opportunities for our future positioning within the contract-electronics manufacturing sector”.
