>Kingfield achieves ISO-14001 certificationThursday, 11th March 2010 posted by Nick Taylor
As a growing business we are acutely aware of the need to control and manage our environmental footprint, and achieving this certification will provide the necessary tools and capabilities to assist with this process. This accreditation is also a further step forward in meeting the requirements of our customers and enforces our ongoing commitment to reducing our impact on the environment.
We have already made significant improvements in areas such as the control of waste, and the reduction of our daily energy consumption. We have improved considerably the amount of recycling we undertake and we now have a number of ongoing improvements in place which will target areas such as seeking ways to improving the environmental performance of company suppliers and contractors. To also develop the environmental awareness amongst employees at all levels within the company.
To prevent pollution by operating in a manner designed to minimize and where possible eliminate releases to air, land and water by focusing on safe technologies, company standards and operating practices.
Kingfield can positively move forward developing and striving to achieve compliance with stated objectives and targets for improved environmental performance.
